OUR STORY
Timeless Masterpieces
Rooted in the pristine art of Pashmina, Ahujasons has been at the helm of hand-crafting the finest shawls, stoles and scarves for over three decades. Each garment is testament to our love for this exquisite fiber and for the craft. Founded more than thirty five years ago, the brand has grown manifold under a dynamic leadership. Today Ahujasons’ unique design promise and immaculate finesse are testament to the family’s singular vision.
An honour among kings, the Pashmina has been the emblem of nobility and power for centuries, known to have been exchanged as gifts among royals. The finesse and finery of the shawl became a symbol of high prestige. It is this essence of regal luxury that Ahujasons seeks to preserve and evoke through the Pashmina, and its myriad explorations.
Immaculate workmanship is the hallmark of the brand, revealed in every lush detail of the Pashmina. Through a sincere and insightful understanding of the art form, Ahujasons has succeeded in depicting ancient motifs with a contemporary sensibility. Over the years, this style has become iconic of the brand and has enabled the Pashmina to transcend age, eras and cultures while elevating its signature grandeur and high luxury.
The brand consciously speaks a contemporary voice, and addresses the quintessential as well as the modern connoisseur.

HeritageAt Ahujasons, shawls are personal style statements endorsed by connoisseurs of lifestyle over the centuries. Indian shawls had graced Emperors & queens. During the 15th century, Emperor Zayn-ul-Abidin, who was a great patron of the arts & crafts and ruler of Kashmir at that time, had a great collection of shawls. He introduced the art of shawl weaving in Kashmir. These shawls had intricate details and were famous for their softness and warmth. It was not long when other kings, queens and the richest started following the suit. The modern-day collections of pashmina and other hand-crafted shawls from Ahujasons bring to life the rich heritage of Indian weavers and the master Craftsmanship of the traditional Kashmiri Gharana so that our valued patrons across the globe are bequeathed with these most exclusive collectors’ items.
Eye on the EnvironmentAt Ahujasons, we foster environment-friendly policies and believe in fashion without cruelty. We use only premium yarns – pure wool, gossamer silk and sheer natural fibres besides the most divine cashmere/pashmina harvested from the fine undercoat of Capra Hircus Laniger, a breed of goats found in the high altitudes of the Himalayan ranges and the Sub-Siberian latitudes.
The cashmere/pashmina wool is harvested from goats during their annual moulting season when the animals begin to lose the protective layer of down. The raw fibre is gathered through the shedding and no animal is harmed in the process. Our sourcing process and fabric has no connection with the internationally banned shahtoosh which is procured from the endangered Tibetan antelope Chiru (Pantholops Hodgsonii). Our pashmina is completely legal & safe to possess so you can enjoy their timeless beauty & elegance without having a guilty conscience.

Beauty. Elegance. Softness. Warmth.
Connoisseurs cherish it; celebrities never have enough of it; and the world of high fashion goes wow over its beauty & elegance, warmth & softness. Rightfully so, as the most gorgeous ensembles are hand-crafted from the royal fibre called cashmere/pashmina to delight your senses. The historical yarn is equally impressive – full of dramatic turns and colourful twists till the Indian pashmina warmed & captivated all hearts.
The Ancient GloryDerived from the Persian word pashm (wool), pashmina shawls are hand-woven from finest-quality cashmere wool harvested from the downy undercoat of the Himalayan mountain goats (Capra hircus). Besides India, the major producers of cashmere are China, Mongolia, Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey. Although woollen shawls were mentioned as early as the third century BC, pashmina-making truly flourished under Emperor Zayn-ul-Abidin, a 15th-century ruler of Kashmir. A great patron of art & crafts, he had brought master weavers from Turkmenistan to Kashmir Valley and pashmina masterpieces came into being – hand-spun, hand-woven and exquisitely embroidered. The unique pashmina weave of finest cashmere & silk retained its pride of place during the Mughal Empire and adorned the Royal Courts of the Indian sub-continent. Emperor was a keen collector of Kashmiri shawls, hence the rich and the elite across the country followed suit. The immense popularity of the luxurious fabric among the Royalties and the Nobles soon helped establish a flourishing cottage industry in the Valley of Kashmir.
Present TrendsThe most popular pure pashmina shawls are made of 70% pashmina & 30% silk. They are known for their warmth and softness. These beautiful luxurious fabrics can range anywhere from Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 for a plain Kashmiri Pashmina to Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 4,00,000 for an embroidered Pashmina. Being a custom-made art piece where even the wool is exclusive, it’s made bespoke to the wants & directions of the customer, to give a one-of-a-kind feel.
Pashmina, however, is not limited only to shawls, there are many other pashmina-made exclusivities like pashmina stoles or scarves to give your wardrobe some elegance. So if you feel like shawls are too regal for a casual day out, don’t shy away from the Pashmina, step out in an Ahujasons stole and charm everyone with grandeur. Since it’s usually hard for people to source these delicate fabrics from far off locations it’s best advised to source pashmina shawls in Delhi. Delhi is the hub for textiles and here you get the best Pashmina Sales possible. Right here at the heart of Delhi stays the most premium place where you can get Pashmina shawls from - Ahujasons.
